BANGALORE: Janmashtami is celebrated with a lot of fanfare in
Bangalore and parents love dressing up their kids as Shree Krishna for the festivities. Taking this fun tradition forward, Fever 104 FM recently organised the ‘Muddu Krishna Fancy Dress Competition’ at Forum Mall, Koramangala.
The MC kept the crowds entertained through various interactive activities.
Kids dressed up the fanciest best, donning up the natkhat makhan chor’s look, as they competed for the ‘best matka’, ‘best ornamental mukut’ titles. The kids had a fun-filled time as they paraded at the shopping mall. The winners were rewarded with goodies like encyclopedias, fun zone vouchers and yummy snack
packets. The competition was judged by popular singer Archana Udupa. “I
thoroughly enjoyed myself. I have never judged a Krishna fancy dress competition before so it was great to see the effort parents had put in to
dress up their children, who were as young as four months old. Even the
kid who won the first prize was just six months old; the concept of bringing
the kid on a banyan leaf was so unique that she was the default winner,” noted Udupa.
