BANGALORE: A Keralite committed suicide by hanging at a room in Retreat lodge on J C Nagar main road on Wednesday. The deceased Muralidhar Nair (45) hailed from Alleppey in Kerala.

According to the police, the deceased had checked into the room on Monday and had not come out of his room. When the lodge staffer checked on Wednesday, he found Nair hanging from the ceiling fan. In a suicide note, Nair stated that he took the extreme step because he felt like ending his life.

The reason for suicide is yet to be ascertained, the police said.

It is said the he stayed with his wife and father-in-law at Alleppey and they are informed about the incident. J C Nagar police have registered a case of unnatural death and are investigating.
