Casual vacancy round: 7,880 get admission orders

The Common Entrance Test (CET) 2012 casual vacancy round seat confirmation process, payment of prescribed fee and collection of admission order for joining colleges by the candidates who have accepted the seats allotted Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) concluded on Wednesday.

As many as 338 candidates in medical, 82 in dental, 73 in Indian System of Medicine and Homeopathy, 7,350 in engineering and 37 architecture courses have collected the admission orders. Totally 7,880 candidates have collected the admission orders in the casual vacancy round till date.

As many as 7,497 candidates have confirmed their joining details in the category casual vacancy round.

According to KEA, the seats cancelled by the candidates till August 28 shall be included in the seat matrix for allotment of seats in this round.

Therefore, any candidate who has got a seat outside KEA can surrender his/her seat allotted in KEA on or before August 28 and claim refund, if any.

The government has notified that 524 engineering seats belonging to 13 engineering colleges has been surrendered to the KEA which has been added to the seat matrix.
