BANGALORE: BWSSB Chairman Gaurav Gupta has urged BBMP engineers to work out a mechanism to implement  rain water harvesting (RWH) on either sides of the road along footpaths with permeable tiles. He was speaking at a one-day technical workshop on rain water harvesting organised by BWSSB for more than 65 engineers, assistant engineers from horticulture, forest and various other departments working under BBMP on Wednesday.

“We want the rain water harvesting to be taken up as a people’s movement. We have also invited suggestions from the BBMP to get the authentic records on buildings which are built over 40x60 feet through Property Identification Numbers.”

Speaking about the Cauver 4th Stage, 2nd Phase work  he said that it will be commissioned by September.
