Opt for funky formal shoes

Express News Service

Shoes can literally make or break an outfit. And, when you are dressed in formals, a funky pair of shoes can really add some spice to your look. Breaking all the rules of the conventional 'shoe' book, men over the years have stepped up with respect to footwear styling. Unlike women's shoes, men's shoes don't undergo quite as many dramatic changes every season. However, some of the hottest trends have now seeped into business attires. Be it suede, coloured soles or even camouflaged prints, men have a wide range of shoes to choose from today. Though there is nothing wrong with the classy black or brown, there's nothing wrong if you would like to add a splash of colour. For instance, the coloured leather shoes can be teamed up with a classic beige suit or wear your lovely tan pairs with a pair of jeans crisp cotton shirt and a formal jacket.

Suede

Not only do suede shoes add a fresh twist to any ensemble, but the creamy texture and mellow tones help in enhancing the overall appeal of your attire. Moreover, they are light and airy. You can now walk into your board room every morning with added confidence and flaunt these beauties.

Coloured heels

Opt for coloured heels rather than the traditional black or brown matching ones. These coloured babies can add that extra zing to any formal attire. Make sure the colour goes the rest of the outfit and you don't end up looking like a clown.

Skinny shoes

Skinny is the new black. However, do not opt for ultra skinny ones. Make sure whatever you choose is stylish and tasteful.  Ensure that you choose something that has a slim contour and neutral colour.

Chunky soles

While a few men hate it; others swear by it. The right pair of chunky heeled shoes will not only adds some height but also some character to your outfit. However, always be careful in choosing the right pair. Cheap shoes or awkward heels can prove to be quite disastrous.

Square shoes

You can also indulge in an uber cool pair of square toes shoes. They are wider and can be found in both laced shoes as well as loafers.
