There was a pause as all devotees assimilated this. After a while Shri Nimishananda Guruji looked at Vasanth and said, “Yes, Vasanth tell me what’s on your mind.”
Vasanth said, “Pujya Guruji, when we are here the mind becomes still. When we come here once, we feel like coming again and again. However if we leave a long gap, we begin to find excuses to keep us from coming here. Why does this happen?”
Shri Nimishananda Guruji said, “Yes, sometimes your Karma blocks you and retards your progress. Your soul usually pulls you where there is divinity. Its thirst can be quenched only through Divine Vibrations. So, as your Soul evolves, you tend to seek out Divinity wherever possible. If your past Karma sprouts in between, it may temporarily cloud the purpose of the Soul and keep you away from the Ashram for a while. Once you taste Divine Love, you will surely come back for more sooner or later.”
Vasanth said, “If we don’t come to the Ashram for sometime, negative thoughts increase. But when we have not completed enough work to show you, we hesitate to come here, Pujya Guruji.”
Shri Nimishananda Guruji laughed and said, “The seva (service) that you do for the Ashram is given to you to dissolve your own negative Karma. Whether you come to the Ashram or not should not be dependent on this. All of you come here only for one thing — Divine Love.
"When you go to the Reserve Bank of India, they will not ask you what you want. You don’t go there to drink coffee, eat snacks or do your shopping. So they only ask you how much you want because you go there only for monetary transactions. So also, when you come here to the Ashram, nobody will ask you what you want. They know that you come here for peace of mind and Divine Grace.“
Vasanth asked - “Pujya Guruji, how can we win Divinity?”
Shri Nimishananda Guruji said, “Pray to God for His Love — God, I want your Grace and nothing else.” If we pray for other things, God may say, “You already have other ways of getting these things. Why do you come to Me?”
However when you ask Him only for His love, He immediately grants it. Divine love is the most satisfying and blissful thing in life.
