On International Women’s Day, organisations and individuals in the city are holding various events to raise awareness on the United Nations’ theme for the day this year, ‘Equality for women is progress for all’.

On Friday, students of Vogue Institute of Fashion Technology reached out to women inmates at Parappana Agrahara prison. Jigna Shah from Vogue, who organised the event, said, “Students  have been teaching the inmates to make jewellery and knit.”
