‘The Lego Stars’ Build Mars Rover

CHENNAI: A group of Class 9 students -- S Arock Joe, M Shiva Manickam and Moteshwar Mani — of St Michael’s Academy, Adyar, built a fully functional Mars rover called ‘The Infinity M’ under the guidance of Godwin Varghese of Techknowledge Education.

The team, called The Lego Stars, secured third place in the Indian Robot Olympiad (IRO) National championship held in New Delhi from September 27 to 28. They have been selected to represent the country in the World Robot Olympiad 2014 at Sochi, Russia. The school extends all support to the children, who have aimed high and will some day reach their goal.
