Sethu Bhaskara School Conducts 27th Annual Sports Meet

CHENNAI: Sethu Bhaskara Matriculation Higher Secondary School (SBMHSS) celebrated its 27th annual Sports Day on January 24 for the middle, high and higher secondary sections, and on January 31 for pre-primary and primary sections.

On January 24 K Subbian, District Superintendent of Police, was the chief guest. X Thalaivan Sargunam, IPL cricketer for Hyderabad and Ranji Trophy player, was the special guest. Deivasikamani, assistant commissioner of police, Washermenpet, presided over the closing ceremony and K Sathyamoorthy, international wheelchair tennis player was the guest of honour. The gathering was welcomed by principal Selva Kumar.

The chief guest on January 31 was S Jagadeesan, first division cricket player. The special guest was S Disha, national ball badminton player. Vice Principal V Amarendiran gave the welcome address.

A march past, mass drill and cultural programmes were held. Events for parents were held on both days.
