Quilled Alphabets

This week we will learn to make quilled alphabets. This technique can be used to make a name board or just to write something.

Things you need

1     Cardstock

2     Handmade paper or any plain coloured paper

3     Quilling strips

4     Glue

5    Quilling tool or a toothpick to roll the strips

How to do it

Step 1

Cut the card stock or a cardboard sheet to a desired length and cover it with a paper.

Step 2

With a pencil write the alphabet that you want to quill. Apply glue on the outline and using a quilling strip, form an outline.

Step 3

After the outline dries, fill it in using different kinds of quilling shapes.

Quilled shape

Roll the quilling strip into a tight coil.

For another shape, just pinch one end of this coil.

To form a triangle, flatten the other end of the pinched coil.

Instead of this, pinch the tight coil twice and then dent it so as to form the half-moon shape.
