Bengaluru suburban rail MoU to be signed on Monday

BENGALURU: Three major landmark events in connection with the Railways is slated to take place on Monday at the Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna railway station.

The MoU on suburban rail between the State government and the Ministry of Railways will be signed on the occasion. In addition, the foundation stone for a new coaching terminal at Baiyappanahalli will be laid through video link.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu will flag off MEMU services between KSR and Ramanagaram. An escalator on Yeshwantpur’s platform 1 will be inaugurated through video link while lifts for platforms 7 and 8 of City Station will also be inaugurated.  The event will take place in the afternoon from the second entry side.
