Ex-Judge to set up dispute resolution centre

Former judge of Karnataka High Court Justice Anand Byrareddy and others will establish a centre for alternative dispute resolution mechanisms at 11am on Saturday.

BENGALURU:  Former judge of Karnataka High Court Justice Anand Byrareddy and others will establish a centre for alternative dispute resolution mechanisms at 11am on Saturday at Indiranagar.Byrareddy, son of late former Advocate General for Karnataka R N Byra Reddy, five other retired High Court judges, a senior advocate, a professor of law and his two sons will establish the centre. The centre will aid courts in resolution of disputes.

It is possible that appropriate cases pending before the courts could be referred to the centre for mediation. Disputes which are yet to reach the courts could be brought directly to the centre. Retired judges of the Supreme Court, Karnataka High Court, lawyers and other experts from varied fields are on its panel.The centre is situated in Indiranagar and is managed by a board of governors consisting of former High Court judges.
