CHENNAI: A 38-year-old tuition teacher landed in the dock for allegedly seducing a XI standard student and capturing the intimate moments with her in his mobile phone camera after the salacious video clipping started making rounds in Manali locality. Suburban police arrested Selvaraj, who runs a tuition centre in Manali following a complaint. The girl, studying in a higher secondary school at Madhavaram Milk Colony, was attending tuition classes at Selvaraj’s centre when the two developed intimacy.
When the parents of the girl came to know of their daughter’s dalliance with the teacher and also about the video clippings being passed around through MMS, they approached the Manali police on December 16. But Selvaraj was absconding since then. He was arrested at the Central station on Sunday. Police say they have received other complaints against Selvaraj and are investigating the case.
