CHENNAI: Government Chief Kazi, Salahuddin Mohammed Ayub, has charged that his resignation from the membership of Tamil Nadu Wakf Board was obtained by fraudulent means and that two government officials were involved in the issue.

In his petition sent to the Governor, the CM, the Deputy CM and the Chief Secretary, the Chief Kazi said that two government officers who had called on him on May 31, claimed that all other members of the Wakf Board had tendered their resignations as the government wanted to reconstitute the Board.Believing the words of the officers, the Chief Kazi also tendered his resignation letter to the officials.

The Chief Kazi said he came to know that he was cheated only after coming to know that no other member of the Wakf Board had resigned their membership. He urged the Governor, CM and others to restore his membership and take action against the officials. Meanwhile,  the Prince of Arcot Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali condemned the injustice to Ayub. Wakf Board Secretary, top officials and Chief Kazi could not be contacted for their comments.
