CHENNAI: It was a literal feast for the senses at Anna Nagar Tower Park on Wednesday as children dressing up as various leaders took position on 24 steps, presenting themselves as a beautiful human kolu arrangement.

At the event organised by Kids Exnora International, around 260 children dressed up as Krishna, Gandhiji, Subash Chandra Bose, Thiruvalluvar and various other interesting personalities made up the kolu. These kids who presented themselves as ‘living dolls’ were between the age of 4 and 10 drawn from schools like SBOA, Anna Nagar, Maharishi, Rajaji Vidhyarshram and Vivekananda Vidyalaya.

Their performance was viewed by Chennai Mayor M Subramanian. He said, “ I know you love your children and hence it is important to leave a safe, green world for the future generation. So, start planting trees and save fuel.” MP Nirmal, founder of Exnora International, said, “ Kolu is a beautiful thing as it enchants everybody.”
