CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has granted permission to actress Vanitha to have the custody of her minor son Vijai Sri Hari for two days from the evening of every Friday.

Making further interim orders on a petition, Justice V Ramasubramanian directed the first husband S Anand alias Akash to hand over the custody of the minor son to Vanitha after the school hours at her residence on every Friday. After the permitted two days, Vanitha should take the child and leave him in the school on every Monday morning.

Akash could take the child to his residence in the evening of Monday.

The jduge said that if the child was very adamant and refused to go with his mother, Akash should take him to Dr M Papakumari, a child psychologist.

It was the responsibility of Akash to ensure that the child cooperated with this arrangement.

If this arrangement did not work out, the judge said that he might be left with no other alternative than order the child to be admitted in a residential school in the next academic year.
