CM to unveil Villivakkam subway on Tuesday

Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa will inaugurate the Villivakkam subway on Tuesday as part of the launch of `39 crore worth civic works carried out by the Chennai Corporation. The work for the subway began way back in 2008 and is a project much awaited by the people of north Chennai.

The 440-metre long subway was jointly developed by the Southern Railway and the civic body at a cost of about `34 crore.

A zonal office in Anna Nagar and a maternity centre in Pulianthope are among the other facilities that will be inaugurated by Jayalalithaa on Tuesday.
