CHENNAI: A one day national seminar on women empowerment titled ‘WE360o’ was organised by the Department of Management Studies in association with NSS wing of the Dr MGR University recently at its Campus, Maduravoyal. This seminar was inaugurated by Avvai Natarajan, former Vice Chancellor, Tamil University, Tanjore.
During this seminar three eminent women personalities – Dr V Shanta – Chairperson, Cancer Institute (WIA), Chennai; Rajalakshmi Parthasarathy – Founder, Dean & Director – PSBB Group of Schools, Chennai and A Shenbagavalli – Dean – Faculty of Education, Alagappa University, Karaikudi were bestowed with the Lifetime Achievement Award for their untiring service to their chosen profession and public.
Among the other dignitaries present on the occasion were P Aravindan – Vice Chancellor, G Gopalakrishnan – Rector, CB Palanivelu - Registrar, GC Kothandam - Executive Director, P Kaliayamperumal – Dean (MBA), Uma Rajaram – Dean-E&T and S Ramalingam – HoD-MBA .
