Nrithya Bharatham provides insights into dance

The five-day interactive dance festival, Nrithya Bharatham, conducted by South Zone Cultural Centre in collaboration with Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, was a comprehensive one with the application of three major classical dance forms of South — Bharathanatyam, Kuchipudi and Mohiniyattam. The festival revealed the fundamentals of classical dance routines which opened up creative capabilities and imaginative perspectives among the students. It helped them understand the three art forms in depth and in terms of the cultural diversity. The event culminated with a fusion presentation titled — Triveni Sangamam — highlighting the identity and uniqueness of these three art forms. The event saw performances by renowned dancers — Balagurunathan and Gayathri in Bharathanatyam, Gopika Verma in Mohiniyattam and Madhavapeddi Moorthy in Kuchipudi.
