Agarwal Hospital bags 4 international awards

A major breakthrough in the field of eye care brings pride and glory to India. Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital, bagged four prestigious ASCRS (American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery) International Awar at San Francisco, USA in April 2013.

Professor Amar Agarwal was conferred with the Golden Apple award for complicated and challenging cases in cataract surgery along with three more awards for Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital in the film festival for a path breaking video on ‘Glaucoma surgery’, ‘Cataract / Implant surgery’ and ‘surgery for Ocular trauma’.

The prestigious ASCRS award consisted a panel of 11 eminent ophthalmologists who selected eight people internationally for the award.

From Chennai to San Francisco, Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital carried the pride along with confidence to present the most challenging cases in ophthalmology in ASCRS and returned with four awards, which is the highest number of awards received by any single institution internationally. This gargantuan task achieved is one of the landmark achievements by an Indian doctor in the global arena,  making our nation proud.
