An Automotive Engine Test Facility was inaugurated by Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, at Vel Tech University, recently.
During the inauguration, R Rangarajan, Chancellor, Sagunthala Rangarajan, Vice Chairman, K Veera Raghava Rao, District Collector, Tiruvallur and other dignitaries were present. The former president had a quick view of the Rs 21 crore worth of research projects in progress at Vel Tech University Research Park.
The inauguration was followed by an exclusive student interaction session with Kalam. A large number of students from Vel Tech University, three engineering colleges, polytechnic, arts colleges and schools had the opportunity to interact with him. Kalam addressed students and motivated them aim high and work hard with perseverance. He appreciated the excellent contribution which Vel Tech has made to society.
