CHENNAI: Fiat Group automobiles India Private limited has introduced Punto Evo, a premium hatch back car in the city’s automobile market priced at Rs 4.6 lakh.
Manufactured at the Ranjangaon Plant, Pune, the Punto Evo is one among the few vehicles from the Fiat Chrysler lineup to hit Indian shores in the coming weeks. Punto Aventura (off road rugged model) and abert 500( premium hatchback) is said to make its entry within two months, said Nagesh Basvanhalli, president and managing director, Fiat Chrysler India operations.
Fiat Group Automobiles India Private limited , the Indian subsidy of Fiat Chrysler automobiles has over 116 exclusive dealerships in 93 cities across 23 states besides manufacting the Fiat Punto and Punto Evo models through the Tata Fiat joint venture.
Punto Evo has variants in the petrol category namely Active, Dynamic and Emotion that are priced between Rs 4.6 lakh and Rs 6.8 lakh, and the diesel category with four variants being Active, Dynamic, Emotion and Sports priced between Rs 5.4 lakh and Rs 7.4 lakh.
