Lecture on Pediatric Endocrinology Held

CHENNAI: A lecture on ‘progress of pediatric endocrinology in India—Past, Present and Future’ was delivered by Prof MSN Menon, head of the department of pediatrics from Jaber Al- Ahmed Armed Forces Hospital, Kuwait, at GRT Convention recently. The event was organised by The Child’s Trust Medical Research Foundation and Kanchi Kamakoti Childs Trust Hospital. “The Central government should provide funds for the treatment, which is now being funded only by a few public sector undertakings,” said Menon.  A CME program in pediatric endocrinology was conducted for practising pediatricians  and postgraduates. A souvenir on pediatric endocrinology was also released by Debendra Narayan Kar, director of Income Tax (Exemptions) and Secretary General, Korfball Federation of India, Chennai,  on the occasion.  Dr AC Muthiah, chairman, The Child’s Trust, was present.
