12 Kg Silver Jewellery, Rs 10,000 Stolen From Jain Temple

CHENNAI: Around 12kg of silver jewellery and Rs 10,000 was stolen by two persons from a Jain temple on Kutchery Road, Mylapore.

Police said the temple was being renovated and there were workers doing the work. On Sunday, around 12kg of silver jewellery and Rs 10,000 was found missing and there were footprints of two persons believed to be of the miscreants. 

The police said the CCTV was disconnected which could have aided the miscreants. A complaint has been filed and the police are hunting for the culprits.
