CHENNAI: The BJP national secretary H Raja on Saturday passed a comment that could put his party in a tight spot.

In a TV interview, Raja said swayamsevaks would be appointed the next President, Vice-President and Tamil Nadu Governor.

During the interview, it was said that a permanent Governor was yet to be appointed for TN and DK president K Veeramani sarcastically said that somehow the Centre would appoint an RSS person to that post and let them do so at the earliest.

To this, H Raja shot back “Do you think a DK man will be appointed as Governor? We will appoint an RSS person as the Governor. Who is Veeramani to say that ? What is wrong in appointing an RSS person?”
When told that India was a secular country and asked how all key posts could be filled with RSS persons, Raja said “It is a BJP government.

When Congress was in power, did they appoint Congressmen to key posts or did they chose from communists? Tomorrow, swayamsevaks will take over as President and Vice-President because we have  majority in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.”
