CHENNAI : At a meeting organised by the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board with officials from multiple industries located in Manali, on Monday, the board fixed `120 per KL for water supply from its two reverse osmosis plants.Representatives from SIPCOT, TANGEDCO, CPCL, MFL, SIMA and other industries were present at the meeting headed by the board’s managing director. Rates for supply of treated sewage and raw sewage were fixed at `18.40 per KL and `3 per KL respectively. 

The board informed industrialists that 1,200 MLD of sewage is produced throughout Tamil Nadu including about 540 MLD from Chennai that can be used as a source of water for industrial use.  Two Tertiary Treatment Reverse Osmosis (TTRO) plants of 45 MLD capacity each are coming up at Koyambedu and Kodungaiyur that will be operational by June 2019.
