It is frozen. It is creamy. It is rich, indulgent, and made with just few ingredients. It has the power to bring people together, or, at times, make even adults squabble over the last scoop. It is a treat meant to be savoured, but wait too long, and it could melt down the cone.

People of all ages brighten at the mere mention of it, as it can instantly lift the mood. If you haven’t guessed it yet, it is the dessert that rarely gets a no from anyone: ice cream.

On August 16, the Indian diaspora in the US and Americans queued up to enjoy this chilled dessert at India Day Parade 2026, held on Madison Avenue, New York. “The parade gave us the opportunity to share the Arun Icecreams experience with a much wider audience — the Indian diaspora, who already have an emotional connection with the brand, and American consumers who were experiencing us for the first time,” notes RG Chandramogan, chairman, Hatsun Agro Product Ltd. The engagement booth at the parade provided the brand with a platform to build visibility and trust with both audiences at once.

Arun Icecreams entered the US market in mid-2026, and this participation is a part of the brand’s broader efforts to expand its establishments in international markets and introduce consumers across geographies to the wide range of ice creams and flavours it offers. Chandramogan adds, “To make our entry more impactful and reach a wider audience, we chose to participate in the parade. This association also blends naturally with what our brand represents — affordable joy, accessible indulgence.”

The brand distributed more than 15,000 ice creams from its popular flavours, including Butterscotch Sandwich, Cream n Cookies Donuts, Vanilla Bites, Popitos Kacha Mango & Malai Kulfi, at its parade float. This welcoming act is a key part of Arun Icecreams’ international growth strategy. “We look forward to taking the brand to more consumers here, and we’re approaching it step by step — building on the regions where we already have a presence and expanding further as we get a clearer read on market demand,” he shares.

Within few months, it has already covered the northeastern region of the US. “People are loving our products because of their wide range and variety, and the consumers commented that the ice creams are rich and creamy,” says Chandramogan.

The brand believes that the milestone was achievable because of the legacy and the foundation it has laid in South India. He says, “Arun Icecreams have been part of people’s happy moments for many decades, and that heritage of trust and quality is what we carry with us as we grow into an international brand.” Even as they expand globally, the brand wishes to carry the same warmth and authenticity.

Chandramogan and his team are working towards building Arun Icecreams into a true global Indian ice cream brand. He says, “This debut at the parade is just the beginning — we want to bring our wide range of ice creams and innovative flavours to consumers across international markets, while staying true to our Indian roots.”
