A rickshaw puller allegedly attacked and robbed a 19-year-old German national in North Delhi’s Kotwali area on Friday.

NEW DELHI:  A rickshaw puller allegedly attacked and robbed a 19-year-old German national in North Delhi’s Kotwali area on Friday. Victim identified as Benjamin Scolt was stabbed multiple times who was later taken to the hospital by the police. A case has been registered under three IPC sections.

Reacting on the incident, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Saturday sought a report from officials concerned over an attack on a German national in the city. The Minister has also asked the Delhi government to provide him the best medical treatment.

"I have asked for a report on the attack on German national in Delhi. I have asked Delhi government to provide him best medical treatment," Swaraj said in a tweet.

According to the police, a case has been registered and cops are raiding local area to nab the accused. “We have questioned few rickshaw pullers operate from that area. Soon, accused will be arrested. Victim is out of danger,” a senior police official said.
