A senior police officer said, “A PCR call was received at the GTB Enclave police station around midnight, reporting that a woman had been shot and was lying on the ground with bullet injuries. Upon reaching the scene, local police found the woman’s body on the service road near MIG Flats, opposite Sunder Nagri.” The victim was identified as Saira, who had been living with her sister and her husband in Kodi Colony after the recent death of their mother.

Her father had passed away years ago. Saira is survived by two brothers and two sisters. Police have examined nearby CCTV footage to understand the sequence of events leading to the shooting. Officials said they are considering all angles and multiple teams have been formed to apprehend the suspect.
