After Salute, action hero Vishal is gearing up for his next film Pista. Launched at Karaikudi near Madurai on December 3, the film has Shreya playing Vishal’s love interest.

“As we were impressed with the director Ayyappan’s concept, we have decided to start the film in Telugu and Tamil. Vishal’s character is quite different from his earlier films. Manisharma has given us five wonderful tunes,’’ informed producer Vikram Krishna (Vishal’s brother). He earlier produced films like Pandem Kodi, Pogaru, Bharani, Bhayya and Salute the film under GK Film Corporation banner.
“We are making sure that it will be another big film from our banner. The film’s shooting will be wound up in a single schedule to be held between January 19 and March 5. The film will be released simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil in April,’’ said the producer.
Prakash Raj, Ali, Thanikella Bharani, MS Narayana, Telangana Sakunthala, Annapurna, Geetha and Surya are part of the cast. Priyan is the cinematographer. Vennelakanti, Sahithi and Anantha Sriram has penned the lyrics. Sashank Vennelakanti wrote the dialogues.
