HYDERABAD:  Suchirindia, a real estate company, is all set to unveil its first hospitality offering, Papyrus Port, a three-star theme resort, on December 25. Located 13 km from Shamshabad next to the highway, before Kothur, the first phase of the resort, spread over three-and-a-half acres, will offer fun, fitness and leisure activities.

Announcing the launch here today, CEO Y Kiron said Papyrus Port was the first of the resorts to be rolled out by their group company Suchirindia Hotels & Resorts.

Another resort, Darling Cave at Turkapalli on the Shamirpet Road, would be launched by February-end and an adventure park on the Vijayawada highway in June next year.

The Rs 17-cr first phase of the Papyrus Port being launched on Thursday would have 26 rooms, a banquet hall, five party lawns, bar and restaurants, indoor and outdoor sports, a swimming pool, boating facility, a sophisticated gym and a board room. The second phase would be developed in eightand- a-half more acres of land at a cost of Rs 40 crore in the next one year, he added.

The company planned similar resorts at Bangalore and a star hotel and casino at Sri Lanka, besides budget hotels in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Chennai, Mysore and Pune.

‘’The company’s foray into hospitality is driven by my passion to entertain and host people,’’ said Kiron on the inspiration to take up the venture. The inaugural will have a fashion show and dance programmes reflecting the resort’s theme.

A few ministers and officials from the State, Sri Lanka and Egypt are expected to attend the function.
