Seetha Kiran, Principal, DAV Public School, Safilguda & Regional Director, DAV South Zone was nominated for the prestigious ‘Best Teacher Award’ at
National level for the year 2008. The President, in a formal ceremony at Vigyan Bhavan, presented the award to her on Teacher’s Day.
Born in Coorg, Kiran began her career with B.Ed College. Her shift to Hyderabad coincided with the founding of DAV Institutions, 26 years ago. As Regional Director, she has made modern education accessible to rural population in A.P. This year 24 students from the remotest rural areas of A.P. have been directly selected for IIT Institutions.
In the year 2001, Kiran was bestowed with ‘Best Teacher Award’ by CBSE.
