“I am passionate about raising the standards of our Telugu films,” said Allu Venkatesh, managing director, Cinematica Digitals Private Limited, on launching QUBE digital XP-E, a digital cinema delivery system, through which theatres can play both 2D digital and 3D format films. It comes as no surprise that as the scion of an illustrious film family, son of one of Tollywood’s foremost producers, Allu Venkatesh or Bobby, as he is fondly called, is passionate about anything remotely connected with cinema. “I was born into a film family so it came naturally to me,” adds Allu with a smile. Intriguingly, Allu harbors no burning desire to make it big as a lead actor on the silver screen. “I am playing a lead role spearheading Cinematica Digitals,” he insists. The 33-year-old is infact more interested in discovering and upgrading the technical aspects of film making.

“This technology offers results at an affordable cost without compromising with security aspects. It has several anti-piracy features, including an invisibl e watermark,”said Senthil Kumar, co-founder, Real Image Media Technologies Private Limited Inc, at the launch meet, which was attended by several industry big-wigs, including director SS Rajamouli, Gunasekhar and Allu Arvind, among many others.According to Senthil Kumar, the QUBE XP-E system offers world-class sound quality, with sustained quality of picture and lower movie purchase price. “India can have hundreds of 3D theatres. But then again, it is a chicken and egg question. Unless this technology is available, theatres will not come up,” concluded Senthil Kumar.
