HYDERABAD: The first Shatabdi Express train on South Central Railway, Train No 12026 SecunderabadPune Shatabdi Express, was flagged off by Secunderabad MP Anjan Kumar Yadav at the Secunderabad railway station here on Sunday.

The train has seven AC Chair Car coaches with a total capacity of 469 seats and one Executive AC Chair Car consisting of 46 seats. It covers the distance of 597 km in eight hours.

The fare for AC Chair Car is `780 and for Executive AC Chair Car `1,500 per person between Secunderabad and Pune and the fare includes catering charges.

Lauding the railways for introducing the train and for improving the amenities at the Secuderabad station, Yadav wanted expeditious work to develop Secunderabad as a worldclass railway station.
