British Council Hyderabad has introduced three new English courses – two for teaching and one for young learners. The teaching courses include TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test) and IELTS (International English Language Testing System) train the trainer courses. The TKT course can be used as preparation for the Cambridge TKT exams or as a standalone teacher training course. It will help those who teach, or would like to teach English to all age ranges and levels. The IELTS course will help those who want to train students who are appearing for IELTS.
Another course that has been introduced is the Regular Young Achievers course, which targets 8-12 year olds. “We have noticed that parents in the city are enthusiastic about building their child’s confidence in English from a young age. We had introduced this course during the summers, and was a big success. That is why we have decided to keep it running through the year,” informed Gwendydd Hardcastle, academic manager, Teaching Centre, British Council Hyderabad. The Regular Young Achievers course and IELTS train the trainer course students will be awarded a British Council ceritificate and the TKT train the trainer course students will receive a Cambridge certificate.
All courses begin July 18 and registrations for the same start Monday.
