Subhalekha Sudhakar gets TV Nandi

Pasupu-Kumkuma (Zee TV) and Mamatala Kovela (Gemini) bagged the first and second best TV daily serials.

Information minister DK Aruna and committee chairman Vinod Bala on Monday announced Nandi TV awards for 2011. Naa Bhoomi bagged best telefilm award and Jogini the second best.

In the mega serial category, Nayana (SVBC) and Panchatantram (E TV) were selected for the first and second prizes.

G Anil Kumar was selected best director, Subhalekha Sudhakar as best leading acor and R Pallavi was adjudged best leading actress.

Other awards were given to K Jayaram (best supporting actor), Madhumani (supporting actress), Ramjagan (comedian), Srilakshmi (comedian actress), Lavanya Lahari (villain), Master Naresh Chandra (child actor), Baby Anusha and Baby P Divija (best child actress), K Sambasiva Rao (best TV film director), late Ch Suman (best story writer), Veigalla Rambabu (lyricist), Khuddus (music director).

K Vinod Kumar (HMTV) was chosen best male  newsreader and S Lakshmi Kalyani  (TV5) as best female news reader.  In all, the government announced awards to 69 persons.
