Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute has received the certification from National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). The accreditation ensures patients with a reliable testing and calibration service as a part of the cancer treatment.
At a programme here on Wednesday, TUV SUD senior manager Kameswara Rao handed over the certificate to Basavatarakam Hospital chairman Nandamuri Balakrishna.
Speaking on the occasion, Balakrishna said their aim is to take Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital into one of the premier cancer institutes in the world. “The hospital is offering free services to the economically poor with white ration cards and Arogyasri cards. The hospital is always on the forefront to extend free services even for those who don’t possess these cards,” he said.
Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital became the first hospital in city to get the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (IS OHSAS 18001:2007)certificate.
Hospital CEO RP Singh, medical director Dr TS Rao, laboratory head Dr T Sudha Murthy and others were present.
