Hyderabad: Yashoda Hospitals has conducted a one-day Radio-frequency and Coblation live national ENT workshop, RAFCOB 2013, for the first time in India. In a unique show, it exhibited two different methods of electro-surgery on the same platform.

They are called radio-frequency and coblation. They are different in their mechanism and are used in different situations. It is first time in India both are brought on same platform. The workshop was attended by over 200 ENT surgeons.  The aim of the workshop was to demonstrate the use of radio-frequency and coblation in ENT surgeries. Dr DS Deenadayal, head of the ENT department at Yashoda Hospital, Secunderabad is the first  to use radio-frequency for surgeries in India.
