HYDERABAD: Around 52.4 per cent degree final year students cleared the annual examinations conducted by Osmania University in April-May 2014.
Announcing the results of BA/B Com/B Sc here Friday, vice-chancellor of OU Prof S Satyanarayana said of the total 44,223 third year students that had appeared for the exam, as many as 23,175 managed to clear them. A marginal increase in pass percentage was witnessed.
While the pass percentage of BA students stood at 62.3 percent, B Com students registered a pass percentage of 52.72 and that of B Sc students was 47.71.
In all, a total of 1,70,958 students had appeared for the first and second year exams. As many as 88,461 took the examinations while the number of girls stood at 82,497. The pass percentage figures of the two years were not released as they can appear for the improvement and supplementary exams and stand a chance to be promoted to the next class. The results can be viewed on the website www.osmania.ac.in. Candidates can collect their marks memorandum from their colleges after July 1. Candidates who wish to apply for revaluation can pay a fee of `200 per paper at AP Online Centres between June 16 and 27.
For students who wish to verify their answer script, a photocopy of the same will be provided to them after making a payment of `1,000 at the examination branch at OU between June 16 and July 15.
