Herbal Garden at Necklace Road Ready for Inauguration

HYDERABAD : Herbal Garden, first of its kind in the state developed by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), near Sanjeevaiah Park on the Necklace Road in an area of 2.5 acres is ready for inauguration.

The HMDA developed the park with an aim to create awareness about the diversity of natural resources.

The garden has 200 varieties of trees, shrubs and herbs and creepers which have both medicinal and aromatic value. The garden is beautifully designed with an aesthetic look, HMDA commissioner Neerabh Kumar Prasad told Express.

The aim of the herbal garden costing over `1 cr is to preserve and promote the medicinal values of various plants that grow widely in our surroundings and are useful for home remedial cure for a variety of diseases.
