HYDERABAD: Five notorious drug peddlers have been arrested in a joint operation by the Task Force, South Zone Team and Central Crime Station (CCS) police on Wednesday. The police seized 145 Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD)blots and six grams of Ephedrine, which together is worth Rs 1 lakh.
The arrested have been identified as Mayank Kumar Sahu, 22, and Piyush Kumar Sahu, 20, both residents of Nagpur. Both were aided by Mustafa Mohiuddin, 27, a resident of King Koti; Junaid Raza Siddiqui, 25, and Md Manzil Mukram Pasha, 26, residents of Rajenderanagar.
Based on a tip off, the South Zone Task Force team arrested Mayank Kumar Sahu and Piyush Kumar Sahu who were found procuring LSD Blots and trying to sell the same to prospective customers near Liberty X Roads.
During interrogation, it came to light that the accused are brothers. Mayank completed his graduation in BBA (Bachelor of Business Arts) and is presently working as a graphic designer while his elder brother Piyush completed Intermediate recently.
“Inspired by Mayank, Piyush agreed to procure the LSD blots online and planned to market the same to make easy money. Mayank then contacted his friend Mustafa seeking assistance for marketing the contraband drug and offered him a handsome commission. Mustafa gave his consent a week ago and the brothers came to Hyderabad and delivered the goods,’’ said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Task Force, N Koti Reddy.
After receiving the same, Mustafa along with his associates Junaid Raza Siddiqui and Mohd Manzil Mukram Pasha, who were trying to selling the drugs to customers, were nabbed by the police.
