Telugu Actress Aarthi Agarwal Dies in New Jersey

The cause of death of the 31-year-old actress were the complications during a liposuction surgery, she suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away.

HYDERABAD: Actress Aarthi Agarwal, the bubbly heroine who was popular in  Telugu cinema between 2001 and 2004, died in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on Saturday.

There are, however, conflicting reports about the cause of death of the 31-year-old actress with one suggesting complications during a liposuction surgery, even as her manager here said it was due to heart failure. “Aarthi was battling obesity and pulmonary illness. She was undergoing treatment and due to complications, suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away,” said her manager.

Aarthi’s last rites will be performed in New Jersey. She is survived by her husband Ujjwal Kumar, an NRI in the US. Apart from Telugu films, Aarthi acted in Tamil movie Bambara Kannale in 2005.
