KOCHI: The Kochi City Police on Wednesday arrested one more DJ in Goa in connection with the rave party held at a luxury hotel in the city last month.

The arrested has been identified as Karthik, a native of Goa who was born to parents hailing from Tamil Nadu.

According to circle inspector Siby Tom, Karthik is a popular DJ in Goa.

“He is member of a racket that supply  Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) to students and youngsters in Kerala. His role in the case was confirmed following the arrest of Fifin Francis of Tripunitura. Fifin had supplied LSD to Sebastian, who was arrested at the DJ party at which Russian DJ Psycovsky performed. It was Karthik who supplied LSD to Fifin, who in turn sold it to Sebastian. Karthik was not directly linked to the rave party incident. His role was to supply LSD to the other accused,” said Siby Tom said.

After receiving Fifin in custody last week, the police took him to Goa for evidence collection. Some of the policemen stayed in Goa and nabbed Karthik. After confirming his role in supplying LSD to Fifin, Karthik was arrested. Later, he was produced before a court in Goa for acquiring transit warrant.

He will be brought to Kochi on Thursday evening, and the police officials are expected to produce him before the Judicial First Class Magistrate on Friday.

Meanwhile, police officials said the investigation into the  case had entered the final stage, with the main suppliers have been identified and arrested.

Mithun C Vilas, alias Kokaachi, one of the organisers of the party, is still in judicial custody. Kokaachi’s bail petition is pending before the Ernakulam District Sessions Court.

Though the four youths from Kozhikode - members of Kozhikode-based drug racket Calicut Beach (Cal B) who are accused in the case - also applied for bail, the court rejected the plea.

After receiving bail, Russian DJ Psycovsky is still in Kochi as stipulated in the bail condition. According to the police sources, he might approach the court seeking to lift the bail condition as he has committed several DJ performances in other countries.
