A Teary Adieu at St. Mary's College

HYDERABAD: St. Mary’s College, Yousufguda, recently conducted a farewell for the 2016 batch in their campus. It all goes well when it begins with a prayer song followed by greeting all the staff, students and friends. D.P. Rama Rao, Principal, addressed the gathering and wished the best for all students and said that it is time to look back at our memories without stepping back.

The students of the college took an oath to be better human beings and to be loyal to the institution, society and the country. The final day was vibrant with colorful costumes and messages by the students for their friends and teachers. Chief guest Bhargavi Nuvvula, software development, manager, Amazon orated few words to the students.“We have four things to believe in ourselves - body, mind, emotions and spirit on which we should always have a control,”she said.

She further explained how important it is to have some amount of discipline in ones life and also how to experiment with choices. “Let people enlighten you. When someone assigns you a task, it means that you have the ability to do the job,”said Bhargavi.

“Your vision today might be narrow. But, the goals and desires are not static. It keeps expanding. So enjoy the journey and trust your own instinct,”she concluded. The chief guest awarded the best students with certificates and mementos.

The gathering also witnessed different cultural programs by the students which was then followed by dinner. The farewell ended with every one hugging each other and making promises to stay in touch forever.
