KPHB Police Station Modernised

HYDERABAD: The modernised KPHB police station and a community CCTV network of 750 cameras were inaugurated by home minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy here on Monday.

The entire building has false roofing with smooth finish, new flooring and new furniture on the lines of IT offices.

A total number of of 1,000 CCTV systems under community CCTV network and another 1,000 under colony CCTV network will be installed in the Kukatpally law and order division in the next three months.

M.Krishna Rao, Kukatpally MLA, promised to mobilise ` 2.5 crore not only from his constituency fund but also from business houses for CCTVs. Serilingampally MLA A.Gandhi promised to mobilise ` 1.5 crore for CCTVs in his constituency.

The home minister said that all police stations in Cyberabad were being overhauled with modern facilities such as reception centres, counselling rooms for women, toilets for visitors as well as the police staff, separate work stations for sub-Inspectors, a mini command and control centre in each police station, barracks for stay and rest of police personnel. Cyberabad police commissioner CV Anand said the Cyberabad police had delivered results in terms of public confidence and crime reduction by 48 per cent in two years as per government’s expectations.
