HYDERABAD: Girls dream of being a princess when they are 12 year olds right? But this is not the case for Kaivallya Dasu! She was seven when she wrote her first story and when she turned 12 when she wrote her first book. And now at the bubbly age of 16 she has published her first book, ‘Enchantress Of Elektra’. This novel is not like any other novel. It’s a book which speaks from a villain’s point of view. Kaivallya had a very different idea about the world when she wrote this book. She imagined a life of kingdoms, mysterious creatures and lots more. Her book might be a villain’s point of view but the protagonist in the story is a female character.  SriRam Karri, a journalist and novelist, launched Kaivallya’s book in the city the last week.  He was in conversation with the young author. Talking about the book he said, “It is very astonishing to read a book which is so mature in language and has been so beautifully adapted on paper.”

Kaivallya Dasu is creative, fun loving person and a die-hard book lover. When asked what did she sacrifice in order to write this book, she said, “I gave up reading to write this book.” She says her inspiration behind writing this book was her obsession with the Harry Potter series and how JK Rowling inspired her in building the world that she sketches with words her book. Kaivallya believes that the most powerful magicians in the world are writers, they have the ability to create magical things no one can ever imagine. The event ended with Kaivallya reading out her favourite passages along with her younger brother from the book to the audience.
