Dutch national arrested in Hyderabad for alleged connection with drugs

HYDERABAD: A 33-year-old Dutch national, allegedly found acting as a drug courier, was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the ongoing investigation into drugs being supplied in Hyderabad. 

Mike Kamminga, a resident of Rotterdam, Netherlands, was nabbed by the sleuths of Telangana Prohibition and Excise department on Tuesday when he was found with psychotropic substances. 

While officials remain tight lipped about the man's whereabouts and the details of the seizure, the software professional is believed to be a major catch.

Kamminga has visited India four times and his current Visa is valid till June 2018. He was found in possession of Netherlands Passport (Number NMC18DH31).

Kamminga's social media account calls himself an Online & Social Media Strategist, creative thinker, entrepreneur, programmer, and web standards enthusiast, with over 12 years of experience spanning product development, technology sales, (digital) strategy, (tech) team building and (offshore) business operations.

For the last year and five months, he has been working as a solutions architect for a San Jose-based software firm. He is, as per his social media account, currently based out of San Francisco Bay Area, USA. 

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Hyderabad police arrested four persons and seized 8 kg of Opium from them. 

The accused, DVV Satyanarayana(26), Netala Rabbi(30), Y. Srihari Krishana (37),  A Ravi Prakash(43) were found to be peddling drugs in Hyderabad. 

All four are natives of Andhra Pradesh state and were caught near Hyderabad's Indira Park while trying to sell Opium to customers.
