A 22-year-old man in posession of sophisticated weapons manufactured by US-based companies was arrested by city police after he was found to have indulged in international call routing offence.

HYDERABAD: A 22-year-old man in posession of sophisticated weapons manufactured by US-based companies was arrested by city police after he was found to have indulged in international call routing offence.


His father was detained for questioning.  Police have seized call routing tools, costly air guns and a weapon that were imported from USA from the accused.

The arrested person is Fahad Ahmed, resident of Habeebnagar police limits. On a tip off, the cyber crime police carried raids on the residence of Ahmed and found call routing material installed in his residence. 


The Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Cyber Crime, KCS Raghuveer said that they have arrested one Fahad Ahmed for international call routing that made huge lose to the Telecom department to the tune of in crore of rupees.

 “We have found costly air guns that were in possession of the accused. Each gun coss about `4 lakh. We have seized four,” the ACP said.
