HYDERABAD: Visitors to the Nehru Zoological Park will soon be able to enjoy their food at a state-of-the-art food court complex, which will replace the existing three food canteens on the zoo premises.

We have prepared blueprints and will soon send it for the approval of Forest and Environment minister Jogu Ramanna and other higher officials,” said a senior forest official. He said that once the new complex gets functional, visitors won’t be allowed to take food articles inside the zoo.

“Officials have decided to set up the food court during a meeting of Zoos and Parks Authority of Telangana,” He  added that once they get approval, tender will be floated for construction of the complex.“The building plan includes huge open places for visitors to eat, large kitchen, cleaning areas and toilets,” he said. Officials believe that the food court will provide healthy food to visitors along with adequate space to sit.
