HYDERABAD: A young Uzbek woman, rescued from flesh trade, was found hanging at Prajwala home, a rehabilitation centre for trafficked victims in Amangal on the outskirts of city on Friday evening.  The 26-year-old is believed to have hanged herself using a dupatta for hanging when her three roommates were away.

The woman hailing from Tashkent came to India in February 2017 on a six-month tourist visa. She stayed in Delhi, before being trapped by flesh trade organisers and brought to Hyderabad.  The woman was rescued by Rachakonda SOT on November 25 at Saroornagar.

Errashni Jogeshwar Rao (32), a resident of Yousufguda and native of East Godavari had brought the Uzbek woman from Delhi, by paying about Rs 2.5 lakh to one Osman.

The woman was sent to Rao’s customers. She was promised `10,000 per day by the organisers. Rao along with his associates Laxmannavari Gopal alias Raghunath Reddy (32) and Kesana Gopal alias Harish (22), were also arrested and were produced before a local court.

Following court directions, the Uzbek woman was sent to a rehabilitation centre at Amangal.  At 5 pm on Friday evening, when her roommates were away, she reportedly hanged to the ceiling using a dupatta in her room. A case was filed.
